He joined the navy as a carrier jet pilot, and served on global assignments until 1987 as one of the first F/A-18 pilots, being designated a “Top Gun” in 1984. While in the navy, Jeff earned his MBA from Webster University in 1978. After his naval career, Jeff established and developed a chain of art galleries in central California, and in 1991, joined Merrill Lynch. At Merrill, Jeff specialized in working with non-profits and charitable organizations, and he retired from Merrill as a Vice President in 2007 to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a pastor in the United Church of Christ. [ more ] Lindsey Levenson, MDiv. - Youth Minister Lindsey grew up in Salem, MA and in the UCC - in the wonderful community of Tabernacle UCC Church in Salem . She was very involved in church life growing up and during my high school years felt a call towards ordained parish ministry. She went off to college at Connecticut College in New London, CT, double majoring in Religious Studies & Gender and Women's Studies - a very practical liberal arts degree! While she was in college she studied abroad for a semester in Central America - Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua, learning about sustainable development and social change in those countries. She attended Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where she received a B.A. in Religious Studies, with a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She spent her junior year of college studying in Jerusalem and traveling in the region. After university, Jennifer joined the Peace Corps. During her assignment in Hungary, she taught English to students and worked in a Bosnian refugee camp. Jennifer completed a Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University, with a concentration in “Administration, Planning and Social Policy of Higher Education.” Upon completion of her graduate work, Jennifer moved back to Connecticut with her husband, Mike. She worked at Yale University’s Development Office, doing fundraising in the Yale College Annual Fund, while her husband received an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
