I’d like to take a few moments this morning to tell you how I found a home at Spring Glen Church and why I’ve stayed. After that, I’d like to spend a minute or two talking about what Stewardship means to me. Prior to my finding Spring Glen Church I had been an active member and Deacon of my church. Tara, my wife, was a Trustee. Now this particular church was friendly and the congregants were regular attendees. It was, however, a much smaller congregation. As we became more involved in the church leadership it quickly became apparent that there was a financial crisis. The church was bleeding money and needed to do something about it. [ more ] Stewardship Reflection - Kellyann Day 2012 Good morning. I am happy to be here and was honored when the stewardship committee asked me if I was interested in speaking this morning. My name is Kellyann Day and I have been attending spring glen church with my family for about 6 years. I grew up in Lake Carmel, New York. I was raised catholic. Both of my parents families were devote Catholics who attended mass every Sunday. My brothers and I regularly attended church and catechism. Spirituality was very important when I was growing up. Believing in God and Jesus and learning about the bible was part of our life. But when I went off to college I became disconnected from church and by the time I graduated, I had stopped attending altogether. [ more ] Statement of Endowment and Investment Policy STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The guidelines in this policy are to be followed in the receipt, investment and distribution of financial gifts, bequests and contributions to SPRING GLEN CHURCH. The primary objective for the management of these gifts is to provide resources to further the mission of the Church, now and in the future. It is the intention of this policy that these gifts will be handled with care and prudence. [ more ] |
