Meets Sunday afternoons or evenings. Each spring a week-long Service Trip is planned somewhere to do such things as help rebuild houses or run a day camp for children: Virginia (2004), Vermont (2005), New Orleans (2006), Philadelphia (2007), Kentucky (2009) and Boston (2011) and Washington DC (2012). Other activities during the year include movie outings (followed by group discussions), local community service, broom ball, and conversations on "Talking (and Walking) Faith."

YOUTH GROUP NEWS FROM KARA SCROGGINS, YOUTH MINISTER
Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I just wanted to update you on some youth things.
First, you may notice that we left several neon shirts drying in the Fellowship Room. So sorry if they're obstructing anything--they are going to be our service trip work shirts. We painted them yesterday, but they weren't dry enough to move last night. I can gather them up tomorrow and stow them with our board games in the cabinet.
It seems as though plans are coming together nicely for a work team trip July 28-August 4th. I'm scheduled to talk with someone at the Kentucky organization today to firm those dates up, but I think we're good to go! We'll need commitment and deposits from families by Sunday, I think.
The rest of this month seems like it will be tough to get together with the youth; most folks are going out of town or playing sports, etc. So we won't do anything this coming weekend, but we'll have a final get-together with those who can make it on Monday (Memorial Day) from 7-8. Would that be okay with you, Jeff? Perhaps at your house?
Thanks, everyone, and see you tomorrow!
Peace,
Kara
