Born and raised in New Mexico, Jeff graduated from Rice University in 1974 with a degree in Architecture. He joined the navy as a carrier jet pilot, and served on global assignments until 1987 as one of the first F/A-18 pilots, attending "Top Gun” in 1984. While in the navy, Jeff earned his Masters in Business from Webster University in 1978. After his naval career, Jeff established and developed a chain of art galleries in central California, and in 1991, joined Merrill Lynch. At Merrill, Jeff specialized in working with non-profits and charitable organizations, and he retired from Merrill as a Vice President in 2007 to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a pastor in the United Church of Christ. |

Clare was born in Brooklyn, grew up on Long Island and attended Kirkland College in Clinton, New York. In 1973, as a young Roman Catholic woman, she felt a call to priesthood and began theologically studies with the Jesuits in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She finished her Master of Divinity degree in 1978 at Interfaith Metropolitan Theological Education, an experimental seminary in Washington D.C. This degree was later accredited by Lancaster Theological Seminary. In 2001, she was granted the degree of Master of Sacred Theology from Yale University Divinity School. |

Jennifer Reagan McCleery is a life-long member of the Spring Glen UCC Church. She attended Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where she received a B.A. in Religious Studies, with a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She spent her junior year of college studying in Jerusalem and traveling in the region. After university, Jennifer joined the Peace Corps. During her assignment in Hungary, she taught English to students and worked in a Bosnian refugee camp. Jennifer completed a Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University, with a concentration in “Administration, Planning and Social Policy of Higher Education.” |

Kara Scroggins is a third-year student at Yale Divinity School. Originally from Washington, DC, she most recently came from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in math and English and minored in clarinet performance. While at Chapel Hill, she was very active in the Wesley Campus Ministry and served as the Spiritual Growth leader, the Mercy and Justice leader, and, in her final year, as president. As the Mercy and Justice leader, she led work team trips to Panama, Washington, DC, and the Arizona-Mexico border. She also spent a summer working on Capitol Hill with the United Methodist Seminar Program. Kara built a web site for the program and designed seminars on social justice topics for youth groups who visited from around the country and wanted to incorporate both the “mercy” work of direct service and the “justice” work of advocacy into their serving-learning trips. |

Terese Gemme, a native of Massachusetts, received a Bachelor of Music degree in Sacred Music and Music Education, magna cum laude, from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts, and a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from The Boston Conservatory. She was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 1994 from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. She has studied piano with Maureen Egan, organ and harpsichord with Stephen Long, Phillip Steinhaus, James David Christie and Donald Sutherland, and conducting with Allan Lannom, Frederick Prausnitz, James Jordan and Constantina Tsoulainou. |

Gayle has a BA degree in Sociology from Quinnipiac University and after graduation worked for over 20 years in the insurance business as an agent and service representative. Over the past ten years she has worked as an administrative assistant at the Yale School of Medicine and a computer/office assistant at the CT Autism Spectrum Resource Center. Gayle has a son, Jeremy, and two stepchildren, Elizabeth and Patrick. |

Ed has been in the custodial business for 32 years, and as you can see he has been keeping our church in tip-top shape. Ed lives in Hamden, is married and has two children, Lauren and Joseph, and two dogs and two cats. Ed enjoys fishing in his spare time. |
