David comes to Spring Glen from Middletown, CT and brings with him over twenty years of experience serving as an interim minister. After completing his Masters in theology at Colgate Rochester Divinity School in Rochester, NY, he was ordained by the Philadelphia Association, Penn SE Conference. He later completed a second master’s degree in family therapy from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT.

Clare was born in Brooklyn, grew up on Long Island and attended Kirkland College in Clinton, New York. In 1973, as a young Roman Catholic woman, she felt a call to priesthood and began theologically studies with the Jesuits in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She finished her Master of Divinity degree in 1978 at Interfaith Metropolitan Theological Education, an experimental seminary in Washington D.C. This degree was later accredited by Lancaster Theological Seminary. In 2001, she was granted the degree of Master of Sacred Theology from Yale University Divinity School.

Laurie Bleickardt joined the staff in May 2014 as our acting Christian education coordinator. Laurie has been an active member of the Spring Glen Church since 1999, having served as a Sunday school teacher, chair of the Hospitality committee, and in recent years both as a Deacon and one of our Lay Caregivers.

Terese Gemme

Terese Gemme
Terese Gemme, a native of Massachusetts, received a Bachelor of Music degree in Sacred Music and Music Education, magna cum laude, from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts, and a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from The Boston Conservatory. She was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 1994 from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. She has studied piano with Maureen Egan, organ and harpsichord with Stephen Long, Phillip Steinhaus, James David Christie and Donald Sutherland, and conducting with Allan Lannom, Frederick Prausnitz, James Jordan and Constantina Tsoulainou.

Julia McLaughlin was born and raised in North Carolina and moved out to Southern California to finish up her last year of high school and start college at the University of California, Irvine where she received her BA degree in Psychology. After graduation, Julia began working in publishing and advertising for LA Style Magazine and Los Angeles Magazine and has a background in copyediting and proofreading, along with editorial and pagination experience.
